This week we will continue our exploration of operations with fractions and decimals. We will review division of fractions, then get into all four operations with decimals. This week we are continuing our work on dividing with fractions and mixed numbers. Students will be able to write a division problem from a context (story), and then solve it, using either an effective model or an algorithm. Later in the week we will get into operations with decimals, work that will continue after the holiday break.
Homework this week: Monday: worksheet Tuesday: worksheet Wednesday: none Thursday: TBA Friday: none. Enjoy your break! This week we will transition from our (long) unit on rate and ratio to a unit concerning 6th grade level math operations. This is mostly division! Students will be able to divide with fractions and mixed numbers as well as decimals.
